Valve released a brand new update for CS:GO on Monday, marking the end of Operation Broken Fang. In addition to the removal of Operation Broken Fang, Valve has updated the game's active card pool, added the new "Snakebite" crate and made various minor adjustments to the game.
Valve also announced its new CS:GO 360 Stats subscription servicewhich allows players to continue using the in-game statistics functions introduced during Operation Broken Fang, for a small monthly subscription fee.
"Explore all competitive match, Wingman and competitive match stats in one place," Valve said in its announcement.
"Track your progress over a single match or your career. All previously collected match statistics can be viewed here. Activate a subscription to collect more!"
CS:GO players can now pay €0.99 per month to activate the subscription that will give them access to the CS:GO 360 Statistics Hub.
The Stats Hub will allow you to view your competitive stats and see your progress, just as you could if you purchased Operation Broken Fang. Please note that stats will only be recorded for this service if you have subscribed to it.
CS:GO players criticize new CS:GO 360 Stats subscription
While some fans were delighted that Valve was retaining Broken Fang's in-game stats function, the general reaction to the new paid service was overwhelmingly negative. Many players argued that a stats function in CS:GO should be free, while others pointed out that superior third-party statistics trackers already existSome people were angry that Valve was focusing on the monetization of CS:GO rather than on the large number of cheaters on their game.
"Who wants to pay every month to keep their stats up against the spinbots we have to fight every other game now". We read on twitter.

It looks like Valve has some work to do to sell its new subscription service to its player base.
Valve also presented the new skins present in the Snakebite box:
We're also releasing the Snakebite Case, featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes and introducing CS:GO 360 Stats, which continues the stats page and Round Win Chance report introduced in Broken Fang. This and more in today's Blog Post: https://t.co/18qBRWQqoE pic.twitter.com/LHWhR5UJPs
